New in box from Darice. Multiple function string light set features 140 clear bright teeny 3mm seed bulbs on a white electrical cord.
The total length of the light set is 26 feet. It has a plug on one end only. The spacing between the bulbs varies slightly; the ones that I measured were 1 1/2" and 2" between the bulbs. Bulbs remain lit even if one burns out. The set has a regular safety fuse plug and is made for indoor use only.
I see no indication on either the box or the tag on the light set that these are UL listed and it's unusual but the set also does not come with a package insert as most of Darice's light sets do. The bulbs are not replaceable so the set does not come with spare bulbs.
Naturally I had to fool around with one of these to see what this thing can do. The set comes with a switch with a rotating control knob and there are 8 functions.
#1 is Combination which is a little bit of almost everything that it can do
#2 is In Waves and it looks like the lights are kinda following each other quickly off and on
#3 is Sequential; different areas of the set take turns off and on and do it at several speeds
#4 is Slo-Glo where different areas of the set take their good old time lighting up and turning off
#5 is Chasing/Flash; an extremely rapid twinkling (which is kinda annoying after a few seconds, lol)
#6 is Slow Fade -- all lights fade out slowly then light back up again slowly
#7 is Twinkle/Flash which does exactly what the function's name says it does
And #8 is Steady On
The set does not have an off/on switch so it will need to be plugged in for each use. With the set I tried, the the arrow on the dial didn't quite correspond to the number of the function. For instance, when I turned the dial for the set to glow In Waves which is function #2, the dial was actually pointing to 2 1/2, closer to 3. I only tried the one set so I don't know if this is a common issue with these sets. It worked fine, the numbers were just a little bit off. (By the way, the particular set that I tested is not among the inventory listed here. Your set will come unopened and un-Linet tested.)
