Heavy cast metal towel ring measures almost 13 inches in overall length. The ring itself is about 6 inches in diameter.
Whether or not this is cast iron I just can't say for sure. It's got a good solid feel to it and it's heavy enough for its size to be but it has a faux finish so it's difficult to say exactly what the metal is under there.
Please note that it appears lighter in our photograph than it actually is due to the lighting. The tag reads 'black' but it's more of a dark blackish brown. There are areas on both the ring and the mount which are brushed with a lighter coppery color to simulate rusty spots.
The ring is made in two sections -- the top mount has a plate with holes for ease in installation. Please note that no hardware is included so you'll have to dig up two small screws to put this thing up. The bottom ring swings freely and will extend about 1 1/2 inches from the wall when it's up and ready to go.
A very nice item for colonial or primitive decorating, this cast metal towel ring comes new from Creative Co-op.
