Tin metal star hook is small, measuring only about 5 1/2 inches from top to bottom. The star is 3 3/4 inches across and is dimensional on the front but flat on the back.
Theres a metal loop at the top for ease in mounting. The hook is made of lightweight metal and coated with a finish that resembles rusty tin. Many of Darice's 'rusty' items are made the same way and the faux finish is a plus -- I know that I wouldn't want any item that was actually rusty and flaking against my painted walls.
The curved hook at the bottom extends out just a tad over an inch which makes it too small for most wreaths. I doubt that it's heavy-duty enough to hold a full sized wreath anyhoo. I'd recommend using this one for perhaps kitchen towels, potholders or maybe a smaller wreath like one of those that can double as a jar candle ring.
