For displaying candles, fixins and other decorative items, this colonial or primitive squared oval dish measures about 12 3/4 inches from end to end, 4 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep.
These bowls and trays are made from a wood and resin compound. The finish is rough to the touch. This particular dish has a golden brown or matte old gold finish (the manufacturer calls it mustard) but it's thin in places and sanded in other places permitting a a bit of the brownish undercoat to show through. Any nicks, chips, dents and other imperfections are intentional and part of the rustic charm of the piece.
This dish is decorative only and not intended (or safe) for use with food. I've found that the best way to clean and dust these compound pieces is with a damp cloth.
This squared oval shallow dish comes new with tag from The Hearthside Collection. Made in China.
