Miniature Santa Claus hat is made from lightweight felt, finished with red glitter and trimmed with white faux fur.
This is designed to be an ornament rather than a hat to be worn by a small doll or stuffed critter. I'll take a stab at describing it here and you can decide for yourself if the item will do for what you have in mind.
The bottom does indeed open. I'm not able to give an exact circumference but the hat measures about 3 inches across at the opening when it's lying flat as shown in the photo. In the photos you can see where the top of the hat folds over. That's where the snag is -- it's glued from the fold on over toward the back. (One of the photos below is the front and the other is the flip side.)
So while the opening of this item might fit a doll or a bear, chances are that it's not going to look as if it's naturally folded over. The glue actually makes it a bit stiff toward the top near the fold.
The Santa hat comes with a slender goldtone loop at the top for hanging. New from Darice and packaged as shown with one Santa hat ornament per package.
