Golden Delicious Apples with rusty star inserts make fun seasonal bowl fillers.
The apples are just about the size of large real apples, each measuring about 3 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches high. The apples have folk star designs pressed into the apple-shaped forms and the rusty stars (which feel more like plastic than metal) are adhered into the indentations and follow the apples' curves which I think adds greatly to the primitive charm of these items rather than if the rusty stars were simply glued to the sides.
The apples are a realistic deep golden yellow color with brown flecks and appear about as perfect as nature can make an apple! The apples come new, attractively packaged four to the set in a clear plastic box tied with raffia as shown. In my opinion, these are well done and would make a great gift. :)
