This is a very cool item for Halloween crafting projects -- it's pre-colored cheesecloth and it comes in a 36" by 36" rolled up (and kinda wrinkled) square.
Now, let me say right off the bat that the one in the photo is fairly representative of the items although they do vary a bit. For some of them, the orange color is more intense than the one shown -- still a good color for Halloween but different. The item numbers are all the same on them so when I order them from warehouse I can't really say hey, send me all light orange or dark orange, lol! Sigh, sometimes I think that the guys in the warehouse simply don't care what color orange I need. (wink) The mix varies from shipment to shipment so just know that if you order this item, it will be some variation of orange.
It looks like cheesecloth but to me it feels a bit different than the kind of cotton cheesecloth with which we're familiar. It's a very loose weave but it has a bit more body to it and doesn't drape quite as nicely as traditional kitchen-use cheesecloth. My best guess is that there's a bit of synthetic fiber in there due to the way it feels and also due to the uneven way in which it picked up the orange dye. I haven't tried it yet but I think that it would take to a coffee, tea or walnut ink stain well enough for primitive crafting projects. I don't know yet if it's colorfast; if colorfast is important email me and I'll try and find out. Overall, a decent product for Halloween crafting and decorating projects.
