This style is called a carriage candle -- it's sort of a combination pillar and taper. The candle is almost 5 1/2" in total length. The very top is decoratively tapered and the bottom is a tad more than 3/4" in diameter so the candle can fit nicely into a regular holder.
The center part is larger to burn a little longer than a regular taper would. The middle section is about 1 1/2" in diameter.
This carriage candle is dark brownish burgundy with streaky extra wax drips which give it an awesome primitive texture. It would look great in a lantern made to accommodate this type of item. New from The Hearthside Collection, packaged as shown.
