Rustic cast iron hanger has a larger 4" star which mounts on the wall and a smaller decorative 1" star at the tip of the hook. Top to bottom the hanger measures 7 1/2".
The finish on this piece isn't genuine rust -- looks as if it might be a dark brown coating of sorts that simulates dark rusted metal. That's okay though. We probably wouldn't want anything truly rusty rubbing against our walls or doors anyhoo.
The hook extends about 2 1/4" from the wall. It's just about the right size for a wreath but the hanger could hold other items like tapers, herbs or how about a prairie bonnet?
This star hook comes new with tag from Darice. Ooops, forgot to mention that there's a hole in the top for easy hanging but there are no screws or nails included.
