This is a nice little item to add to wreaths and crafting projects. Made from metal tags, the letters of the garland spell out the word "Joy."
The whole thing has a primitive and distressed look about it -- each letter tag is a different style and the paint is thin or chipped in a few places. The entire garland is lightweight metal and painted a deep red.
The letters on the tags are raised and highlighted with metallic gold paint. The painting isn't perfect. In the closeup photo of the J below (different color of a similar item for workmanship example) you can see a little smudge of gold paint where it shouldn't be but I don't think that these are designed to be perfect; I think they're designed to add a bit of a vintage look to a piece to which this item is added.
The distributor describes this as a garland which I suppose is fair. I wouldn't know what else to call it. :-D The curly part is only 6" long though and the tags measure approximately 1 1/2" by 1 1/8". By itself this probably wouldn't be a great holiday decoration but when mixed with a floral piece, Santa or other design I think this could be an attactive addition. New in package as shown from Darice, one sign garland thingy per package.
Another fact that should be mentioned is that the packaging is a bit beaten up -- there are some staple holes in the cardboard header which indicate that this item was probably repackaged somewhere along the line before we received them. This is a brand new item directly from our distributor's warehouse with no in-betweens; please be assured that it is not a repackaged return.
