How cool is this little guy? This would make a nice gift for the gardening friend.
He's a heavy little fly though molded from cast iron. The rusty finish on him isn't true rust; it's a brown painted finish as are the black highlights. It should be noted that the painting details are hand done so each fly varies a bit from the one in the photo.
He's on the small side and that makes for a nice accent piece -- 5 1/2" total length (including the hook), 4 1/2" in width at his wing tips and a tad bit more than an inch in depth. There's a hole in his upper section for ease in hanging but no screw or other hanging hardware is included.
This item is brand new but is made to look very old, rusty and primitive. The painting is imperfect; the edges of the piece are rough and even a little crooked. I love it. :)
