These are battery operated tea lights made for parties and other special occasions. The "candles" themselves are shiny metallic red plastic and they have tiny silicone tipped LED bulbs that also burn red and flicker similarly to a real candle.
Made to fit into typical tea light and votive holders, each candle measures about 1 1/4" in diameter and 5/8" of an inch high (not including the bulb.)
The little on/off switches are on the flat bottom base of the candles. To get to the batteries to replace them you'll have to unscrew the battery cover on the bottom. These do indeed come ready to go with 3 AG13/LR44 batteries in each tealight. The battery is a common one made for many uses and should be easy to find at your local department store if we happen to be out of them here in the webstore. Darice suggests that these lights will go for 30 to 40 hours on a set of batteries.
