This pretty and primitive candle lamp has a simple but charming style to it.
It appears to be made from a wooden block but the block isn't solid; it's created by 1/2" thick wood pieces joined together. The base measures 3 1/2" square and the lamp stands about 5 1/4" tall (not including the silicone bulb in the measurement.) The silicone tipped candle lamp bulb is indeed included.
The wood is painted a sort of medium brownish burgundy and sanded to give it an old weather beaten look. The lamp has an aged drip look taper shaft and a rusted star nailed to the front of the base. The black cord has an on/off switch.
I really like the overall style of the lamp but between you and me, I think the bittersweet could have been done better. It's okay at a distance but close up the floral looks cheap. It's wired and the ends of the bittersweet sprigs are stapled into the wood near the taper shaft. It probably wouldn't take much more than a screwdriver to get the staples out and then replace the bittersweet with a better quality candle ring. The lamp has a good solid feel to it though and hey, primitive doesn't mean perfect. :) The lamp comes new with tag designed by Cheryl J. McMullen for Ohio Wholesale, made in China.
